This photograph is a wonderful image of a very handsome man desperately in need of some hair styling assistance. The photograph was produced by a prize winning photographer; Clarence M. Hayes (1863-?) of Detroit, Michigan. Hayes was educated in Ohio and began working in the field of photography in 1883 as an apprentice to an Ohio photographer. He arrived in Detroit in 1885 and established his own firm in 1891. He became President of the National Association of Photographers in 1901 and he was a member of the Detroit Archeological Society, Masons, Knight of Templar and the Shriners. SOLD
