Alice Evans was a close, personal friend of Evelyn Nesbit. She apparently created great discomfort for Harry K. Thaw’s defense attorney during Thaw’s trial for the murder of Standford White due to her scandalous attire while seated in the gallery at Evelyn’s insistance during Evelyn’s testimony in support of her husband (Thaw).
