Two cute young girls pose for a portrait capturing their participation in a religious ceremony in Reading, Pennsylvania. Note the crucifix and other religious objects in the photograph. The girls are well dressed and adorable. The photographer of this cabinet card portrait, John D. Strunk, was quite prolific and talented. 1. They are beautiful children and the photo is of wonderful quality. I especially like the polished shine on their shoes. I have a few cdv photos from another Reading photographer which I collect, so I often encounter Strunk photographs. He was certainly the most popular photographer in Reading which had a lot of photo studios, and arguably, based on the number of photos offered in sales, might be one of the most prolific photographers of this era.
