It is actually a mystery as to what the costumed Gisele Grimaux is holding in her hand that draws her intense attention. Possibilities include a mirror or a photograph. The reverse of the postcard identifies the actress and the date.

It looks as though she is holding a small powder puff in her right hand, so I think her “cell phone lookalike” is a face powder compact. I enjoy your humorous comments!
Interesting thought… Had she only known what was to come, as they; we will never know what the greater future holds. Hopefully something good for all. So far we as humanity get a D- for a grade in my opinion.
