      It appears to be some sort of artificial greenery, perhaps a fern–a curious choice by the photographer, in my opinion. The bride’s dress and veil are simple, but elegant–and in excellent taste. I think the overall effect is somewhat spoiled by that extra greenery; the veil might have been more pleasingly draped in a semi-circle upon the floor.
