This color tinted vintage real photo postcard features a barefoot adorable little girl and her white cat that she is carrying in a cloth bag. She is also carrying a bouquet of flowers and has a basket on her back. The model seen in this postcard photo is most likely, Hani Reinwald, sister of popular postcard model, Grete Reinwald. Both girls became stage and film actresses. I own another postcard from the same series as this postcard. That postcard is postmarked 1913, indicating that this postcard also dates back to that year. This French postcard was published by Fauvette as part of a series (No.1319). SOLD

PRETTY YOUNG ALSATIAN WOMAN : LARGE BOW IN HAIR : FAUVETTE : RPPC 1912

This color tinted vintage real photo postcard features a pretty young Alsatian woman with a large bow in her hair. She is wearing a cross and has lots of flowers pinned to her dress near her neckline. What’s an Alsatian you may wonder. Alsatians are an ethnic group of people who live in the Alsace region of France. They are settled between the Vosges Mountains and the border of Germany. This French postcard was published by Fauvette as part of a series (No.1023). SOLD

ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL AND HER TWO PRECIOUS CATS (PUBLISHED BY FAUVETTE)

This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable little girl. She is carrying two beautiful cats. One is peeking out of a wicker basket. This little girl is quite industrious. She is also transporting a second cat, a cloth bag, and a bouquet of flowers. She must have been so busy remembering what cargo she was taking from home that she forgot to put on her shoes. This postcard was made in France and was published by Fauvette (no.1319). The postcard was most likely published in 1913 as a closely numbered Fauvette card in the Cabinet Card Gallery collection has a 1913 postmark.   ADDENDUM: Further research reveals that the model in this postcard is most likely, Hani Reinwald, sister of popular postcard model, Grete Reinwald. Both girls became stage and film actresses.  SOLD

ADORABLE GOLDEN HAIRED LITTLE GIRL GIVES HER DOLLS A BATH (REAL PHOTO POSTCARD)

This vintage real photo postcard falls under the category of  “incredibly cute”. The photograph shows an adorable curly and golden haired little girl giving her porcelain doll a bath in a wooden barrel tub. Two additional dolls are seated in a chair beside her awaiting their turn in the tub. Behind the little girl is a clothes line from which the doll’s clothes are hanging to dry. Scattered around are some unused clothes line pins and under the small table holding the tub, one can find the doll’s shoes. The scene is terrifically posed. The postcard is of French origin and published by Fauvette (#1302). The postcard is postmarked in 1913.   (SOLD)
