This vintage real photo postcard is a group photo of a bride and groom, as well as, many of their guests at the wedding. The wedding attendees are well dressed and many are interesting looking. This photograph was taken at a Bulgarian wedding. Note that some of the guests are wearing traditional garb. The bride is wearing a matronly looking wedding gown. One man, positioned at the center right of the photograph is holding a rabbit. Have you ever heard of a rabbit crashing a wedding? SOLD
This is a fantastic vintage real photo postcard. I am not spouting hyperbole. I have seen many postcards featuring rabbits, but usually the rabbits are dead. The bunnies had met their demise from the guns of hunters. Typically the rabbits are strung on a line and joined by several of their furry colleagues. This rare postcard features three live rabbits posing on a fabric covered table. What is the story behind this photograph? Are these bunnies show bunnies waiting to be judged? Are they for sale to be someone’s pet, or worse yet, someone’s dinner? The gentleman standing behind the rabbits is well dressed. He looks sharp in his three piece suit, high collared shirt, and large cap. This studio photo is in excellent condition (see scans). SOLD
A beautifully dressed young woman and two children pose for a family portrait at the studio of C. Gunteritz, in Berlin, Germany. The young woman is likely the mother of the two children, although it is possible that she could be their older sister. The little girl is holding a basket of flowers and her younger brother has a toy rabbit on his lap. The young woman’s dress is made of material that is not commonly seen in cabinet card photographs. Hopefully, a visitor to the Cabinet Card Gallery will be able to identify the dress’s material. This cabinet card portrait is in very good condition (see scans).

This real photo postcard features an adorable little girl hugging a giant toy rabbit. The rabbit appears very life like, save it’s size. The young girl exhibits an expression that looks more like fear than than affection. The postcard was published by Rotophot Berlin (RPH). Rotophot made it’s debut in Berlin, Germany around the turn of the century (1900). The company had other European offices including London and Budapest. They published many different postcard topics including stage stars. Many of their early postcards were tinted. Eventually Rotophot morphed into “Ross Verlag” a postcard company that collectors know for the many postcards they produced featuring actors and actresses. The postcard’s postmark indicates that it was mailed in 1907. It is addressed to someone in Tuscany, Italy.
A young woman poses for her portrait at the studio of J. Addison & Company in Tunstall, England. Why didn’t the photographer or a family member tell this woman that her outfit made her look like a bunny rabbit? She is dressed in white, and her hat has two white feathers that point straight up like rabbit ears. Apologies to all those visitors looking for the original playboy bunny.
