ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL PUSHING DOLL IN A STROLLER WITH HER LOYAL DOG AT HER SIDE (VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPH)

girl and puppy

This wonderful vintage photograph features an adorable little girl pushing her doll in a three wheel stroller. Her dog is sitting, on alert, right next to her. The child is adorably dressed, note her decorative hat. The girl and the photographer are unidentified. The young girl appears to be somewhat overwhelmed, or intimidated, by the process of having her portrait taken. This image is probably from the 1910’s and it measures about 3″ x 6″.  (SOLD)

CUTE LITTLE GIRL SITTING BESIDE HER DOLL IN IN A TOY STROLLER (VINTAGE REAL PHOTO POSTCARD)

stool

This is an unusual vintage real photo postcard featuring a young girl and her doll. The relatively unique aspect of this portrait is that the doll is sitting in a toy stroller. The child in this photograph is well dressed and well coiffed but appears either fatigued or none to happy to have a camera aimed at her. She holds the handle of the cart-like stroller in one hand and steadies the stroller with her other hand. Note the design of the stool that she is sitting on. This postcard has an AZO stamp box which indicates that it was produced sometime between 1918 and 1930.

LITTLE GIRL POSES FOR PORTRAIT WITH HER DOLL IN A STROLLER

A little girl poses with her doll and toy stroller at C. B. Long’s Elite Studio. The child has a serious expression highlighted by her pursed lips. She is posed somewhat distant from the camera so she and her doll do not fill much of the image. The backdrop seems to somewhat dominate the photograph. Research yielded little information about C. B. Long other than one article appearing in the St. Louis and Canadian Photographer (1900) which announced that Long had sold his gallery in Wesley, Iowa. That information does not necessarily mean that this portrait comes from that particular studio because it was not unusual for photographers to move from place to place during the course of their business career.
