This vintage real photo postcard features a handsome and very sweet looking young couple. Both are well dressed in the finest of clothing and each are wearing terrific hats. The gentleman is holding a cane while the the young lady is holding a rose. This good looking couple were photographed at the Walter Studio in New York City. An inscription on the reverse of the postcard dates it at 1914. The “Noko” stamp box indicates that the postcard paper was produced sometime between 1907 and 1929.

Their wardrobe is absolute perfection, perfectly accessorized, down to the gloves they both wear. If you enlarge the photo you can even see the tasteful pin in the gentleman’s necktie. I strongly suspect he is also wearing spats (well, we’ll never know)! Marvelous representation of the height of fashion, one century ago–thanks!
