Pretty
It is interesting to note that this postcard was sent to Mademoiselle Borredon (first letter B?), hat maker, Montauban
The recipient was a “modiste” (milliner, hat maker). The hat in the photo seems to be an adaptation of a traditional hat, or cap from one of the French provinces.
Love that cat!
The cat is beautiful. I will be posting more photographs of cats, very soon.
I look forward to seeing them.
This made me go back and look again at the ones you’ve posted before. I especially like the one taken in Texas Hill Country, even though the cat is a minor player. Love old houses, too, as well as that part of the country.
A few minutes ago, I was sitting in front of my computer ordering next weeks groceries, when Pandora started playing “El Paso” by Marty Robbins. The song caused me to drift to “Forty Grains of Black Powder”. The book is fantastic and I struggle to put it down to go to sleep, well past my normal bedtime. The story grabs me and won’t let go. I already ordered book 2 of the series from Amazon. I will be going back to Texas in October and hopefully will find some nice Lone Star images. In a few weeks I will be going to Vermont, so look for some photographs from New England. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Fantastic! Book 2: Legend is full of surprises–many for me while I was writing it!
