FRANCOISE ARNOUL

This vintage real photo postcard features French actress, Francoise Arnoul (1931- ). She was born in Constantine, France (now Algeria). Her mother was a stage actress and her father was an artillery General. She moved to Paris in 1945 and studied acting. She was “discovered” by director Willy Rozier. In 1949, she received a major role in the film, “L’Epave (The Wreck)”). She also starred in such films as “Forbidden Fruit” (1952), “French Cancan” (1954), and “Testament of Orpheus” (1960). She made her American film debut in “Companions of the Night” (1954). She later acted in television shows. Her IMDb filmography includes 95 credits between 1949 and 2016. This postcard was postmarked in 1960 in Pula, Croatia. SOLD
