An old man and his dog pose for their portrait at the studio of O. S. Myhre in Luverne, Wisconsin. The gentleman has “dressed up” for his portrait. Interestingly, the subject is sitting on what appears to be an uncomfortable stool while the dog (labrador retriever?) gets to lie down on the more comfortable wicker chair.
MINIATURE FAMILY AND PUG OUT FOR A STROLL
A young boy and girl pose as if they are out for a walk with a baby doll in a carriage and a pug firmly in the girl’s arms. The young boy is clearly a forward thinker as he has taken on the “woman’s” role of pushing the carriage. He is also wearing an interesting cap with a tassel. The photograph was taken at a studio in Bourbon, Indiana. The photographer’s name is listed on the front (bottom) of the card but the name is illegible.

He is holding a cane and is posing in front of a beautiful backdrop. The gentleman is accompanied in this image by three dogs. The dogs appear to be retrievers; and most likely, they are hunting dogs. (SOLD)

This cabinet card photograph captures a woman and her dog posing in the studio of A. S. Hellebo in Janesville, Minnesota. The woman is wearing a fur hat and fur “scarf”. She is wearing gloves and holding a pocket book. The dog looks like a labrador retriever and appears quite comfortable as it sits on a fancy chair. The photographer, Hellebro emigrated to Minnesota from Norway and some of his photographs can be found in a collection of historical photos at the Minnesota Historical Society.

A MAN AND HIS BEAUTIFUL LABRADOR RETRIEVER
This cabinet card is a great image of a man and his dog. The image of the dog, probably a labrador retriever, has great clarity. The photographer or the location of the studio is unknown. Perhaps the man’s hat and attire can provide a clue to location for someone more knowledgeable than me about such things.
A FAMILY AND FAMILY DOG POSE IN ST. JEAN, QUEBEC
A mother and father pose for this cabinet card photograph along with their two young children and family dog. The dog appears to be a pure bred spaniel and I invite someone to leave a comment informing me of its probable breed. The image has great clarity and the father looks very proud of his family. The photograph was taken by J. L. Pinsonneault of St. Jean, Quebec, Canada.
