PRETTY WOMAN IN HER BATHING SUIT AT THE BEACH (RISQUE c1908)

This vintage real photo postcard features a pretty young woman, clad in a bathing suit, sitting in a shaded wicker chair at the beach. She is wearing a necklace, two bracelets, and a straw hat. A magazine lies next to her on the seat of the chair. On the ground, in front of the chair, one can see her shoes and some other article of clothing. This is a “Rotophot” postcard, published by London’s, Giesen Brothers & Company. The postcard was printed in Berlin, Germany. The Rotophot firm had a number of affiliates scattered around Europe. The clover logo on the front of the postcard indicates that this postcard was produced by the Vienna (S. Blueh) branch of the company. This color tinted vintage portrait postcard is in very good condition (see scans). SOLD

AN ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL POSES WITH HER KITTEN

This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable little girl, with mussed hair, posing for her photo alongside her kitten. The darling child has a wonderful grin as she gets as close as she can to he pretty cat. The kitten is perched on a table and is looking directly at the camera. This postcard is part of a series (70 no7676). This card was published by Rotophot GmbH of Berlin, Germany. The postcard is in good condition (see scans and note wear on bottom left-hand corner).

AN ADORABLE YOUNG WOMAN HOLDS HER GORGEOUS WHITE CAT

This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable young woman holding a gorgeous white cat. The woman has a perfect smile and the wide-eyed cat’s expression is priceless. The message, written in French, on the reverse of the postcard is “see you soon”. The postcard is addressed to a woman in the town of Montauban which is located in southern France.This postcard was published by Rotophot, which began publishing “RPH” postcards sometime around 1916. PRETTY YOUNG WOMAN READING BY THE LIGHT OF A FIREPLACE

This vintage real photo postcard features an attractive young woman sitting in a chair by a fireplace. She is reading a magazine by the light of the fire. The young lady is adorned with a lot of jewelry (two bracelets, a necklace, and a ring). She is wearing a pretty dress and a pretty smile.  The postcard was published by Rotophot Berlin (RPH). It is part of a series (no.3677/2). Rotophot made it’s debut in Berlin, Germany around the turn of the century (1900). The company had other European offices including London and Budapest. They published many different postcard topics including stage stars. Many of their early postcards were tinted. Eventually Rotophot morphed into “Ross Verlag”, a postcard company that collectors know for the many postcards they produced featuring actors and actresses. This postcard has a French stamp.  SOLD
