This vintage real photo postcard features German film actress and dancer, Fee (Felicitas) Malten (1911-2005). Malten later emigrated to the United States. She was a leading lady in silent as well as sound films of the Weimar era. Malten was forced to go into exile after the Nazi rise to power in 1933. The compelling reason for her exit was her Jewish background. When she came to the United States, she continued to act. Most of her parts in America, were in Germanic minor roles. In the US, she was known as Fay Wall. The IMDb credits her with 29 film appearances. One of these films was “Hitler-Dead or Alive” (1942). Note that the reverse of the postcard has moderate wear and also on the reverse is a tracing of Miss Malten’s face. The front of the postcard has no damage. Overall, this vintage postcard is in good condition (see scans).
