I looked it up on the website of Mrs Danuta Thiel-Melerski. There is the photographer HERZFELD, MARTIN separately listed in Dresden and in Leipzig, but also stating the ‘Atelier’ (meaning studio). In Dresden, he began in 1906. Here are the links:
