This item is a vintage real photo postcard featuring a portrait of a handsome young sailor. He looks quite dashing in his naval uniform. The young man was photographed by the J. S. Bullen studio which had two locations in England. The studio had branches in Grimsby and Louth. Bullen operated his studio in the 1910′s and 1920′s. He also may have worked as a  photographer in other decades.   SOLD

  1. Js bullen was my grandfather perhaps i can help you with his life story

    • JS Bullen took a fine photograph of the handsome sailor that posed for him in England. I would very much be interested in his life story. Photographers lives are often quite excellent illustration of what life was like at and around the turn of the century. If you would like, you could write about his life and I will print publish it on this blog. Otherwise, you can send me some information about him and I will add it to the description of the sailors photograph. You can send any material to me at cabinetcardgallery@gmail.com. Thanks.
