PORTRAIT OF TWO INCREDIBLY PRECIOUS SISTERS IN BELGRADE, SERBIA

The sisters seen in this cabinet card image are absolutely precious. They are also adorably attired in matching dresses and hats. The dresses have a bit of nautical style. The photographer of this photo portrait is Amere Kehur (Kenur?), at least that is how I decipher the script printed below the image. Kehur’s gallery was located in Belgrade which is the capital of Serbia.

  1. The name of the atelier is written in Cyrillic it actually reads Kenig/ König like king in German. The name of the owner was Leopold König (1853-1906) He had numerous ateliers in Belgrade, Novi Sad and other cities across Serbia.
