This vintage real photo postcard features British beauty and actress, Drina Verchesi. This postcard captures Miss Verchesi in, what was meant to be, a “provocative” pose. Information about Verchesi is not readily available. A deeper dive into theater sources, will uncover some details of her life. It is a safe bet that she was not a major player on the British stage, but established enough to be featured on this postcard. This card was published by Rotary Photo as part of the “British Beauty” series (no.A1106-2). The firm operated in London, England. This postcard is in good condition (see scans).

Drina Verchesi was an English actress appearing in several plays in the 1900s but was also in films during the same period, but as you say, little has been recorded about her, although there are a few lovely postcards of her.
I live in a suburb of New York City and one of these days, I want to go to the The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The library is located at Lincoln Center and I am sure it is chock full of information about some of the more obscure performers of the past.
I looked on the News Archive but very little about her and even Wikipedia doesn’t mention her, she was certainly very pretty and I have several of her postcards, two of which I found at a fair a couple of weeks ago
