WOUNDED BULGARIAN MILITARY OFFICER

This photograph is a portrait of a wounded non commissioned Bulgarian military officer. The preceding description of this gentleman is not confirmed information. It is also unknown, due to translation limitations, what the name of the photographer is and in what country and city the studio was located in. Hopefully, someone from cabinet card gallery’s vast unpaid research department , will leave a comment providing additional information about the subject of this photograph.

A not too happy child is photographed with a beautifully carved wooden horse in this cabinet card. The toy horse is mounted on a wheels and the horse has a mane, bridle and reins. The child appears to be holding a horse whip. The photograph is by Victoria of Recklinghausen, Germany. Recklinghausen is located in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany.

HUSBAND AND WIFE POSE FOR INDIVIDUAL PORTRAITS IN KEOKUK, IOWA

A very handsome couple pose for individual portraits at Libby’s New Photograph Parlors in Keokuk, Iowa. The reverse of the card has a penciled inscription indicating the location was Keokuk, and research confirms that Libby’s was located there. This couple is beautifully dressed and have stylish hairstyles. They have the appearance of prominent citizens of Keokuk. It is also possible that they are important visitors to the town.

AUNT MINERVA’S DAUGHTER: BESSIE BOYER AND HER DOLL

The reverse of this cabinet card identifies the cute long haired little girl in this cabinet card photograph as being “cousin Bessie Boyer”. The inscription also indicates that Bessie is a cousin due to the fact that she is the daughter of a maternal Aunt named Minerva. The little girl is wearing an adorable cap and posing next to a large doll. No further identifying information about the child, the photographer, or the location of the photographic studio is available. SOLD

This photograph captures a pretty bride and handsome groom. It is possible that this couple are attendants in a wedding but the woman appears to be wearing a wedding gown. If she is the maid of honor, one must pity the  bride because this attractive maid of honor likely upstaged her. The couple has four different flower arrangements in this photograph. JOHN AND MINERVA SUMMERS: ATTRACTIVE COUPLE IN FORT RECOVERY, OHIO

John and Minerva Summers pose for their portrait at the studio of Harry McDaniel (1868-?) in Fort Recovery, Ohio. The couple is beautifully dressed for this cabinet card portrait. The photographer, McDaniel, was boorn in Gibson City, Illinois. He was known to be an active photographer in Fort Recovery around 1900. Fort Recovery is a very old town. It was established by the US Army in 1794.
