PORTRAIT OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WEARING A LARGE BOW IN HER HAIR

This vintage real photo postcard features a portrait of a beautiful young woman. She is well dressed and her ensemble includes strings of pearls as well as a very large hair bow. What is the purpose of the hair bow. I believe that this hair accessory communicates youth and innocence, resulting in increased attractiveness of the model. On the subject of models, the pretty woman seen in this photograph may be the same model photographed in another postcard in the Cabinet Card Gallery collection. You can see the postcard below. What do you think? The card seen above is color tinted and from the early 1900’s. (SOLD)

Is this model the same model seen in the portrait postcard above? (This Raphael Tuck postcard is not for sale)

LARGEST HAIR BOW IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY AND THE WOMAN WHO WORE IT

This vintage real photo postcard is quite unique. It features the portrait of a well dressed lovely couple. The woman is wearing what is probably the largest hair bow ever worn in the history of the world. If she was outside and caught the wind just right, she would probably have the ability to fly. The message on the reverse of the postcard indicates that the couple’s first names are Jeanne and Willy and that they were photographed in 1920 by E. Lorsen in Strasbourg, France.   (SOLD)
