CLOSE-UP PHOTOGRAPH OF THE CUTEST LITTLE BOY IN YUGOSLAVIA RIDING A CAROUSEL HORSE

This vintage real photo postcard captures a a very cute child sitting on a carousel type horse. The child seems to be a bit befuddled by the experience of being photographed. He does not appear to be thrilled with the idea of posing for a photograph. On the other hand, the horse seems perfectly happy. Is the child wearing pajamas? The setting of the photograph is a studio in Yugoslavia. The evidence of that identification is the Yugolslavian stamp on the card. The postmark indicates that the picture was taken in 1973. The postmark is from Vrnjacka Banja. On today’s map, the town is located in central Serbia.   SOLD

PRETTY BLONDE WOMAN ON A MOTORCYCLE BEING “HIT ON” BY HER LUSTFUL RIDING INSTRUCTOR

french officer This vintage real photo postcard captures the scene of a man sharing an intimate moment with a pretty blonde woman sitting on a motor scooter. The photographer appears to have caught the man in a lustful moment. I doubt the man is giving tips about motorcycle care and maintenance. I find it unusual that the woman would be riding a motorcycle while wearing  a long dress. Finding information to identify the manufacturer of this motorcycle was difficult. I discovered that a company named “Tomos” manufactured a bike whose name included the word “Galeb”. Note that a nameplate on the front of the bike says “Galeb”. Tomos manufactured motorcycles from their factory based in Koper, Slovenia. They still provide various products to their Eastern European market. The language printed on this postcard is from Slovenia. It appears that the photographer was Z. Mirkovic and the publisher was ZK. The postcard is part of a series (no. 2881). This photo postcard measures about 5 5/8″ x 4″ and is in very good condition (see scans).

PORTRAIT OF AN ARMY TAILOR AND HIS SEWING MACHINE IN SERBIA (VINTAGE REAL PHOTO POSTCARD)

tailor

This vintage real photo postcard features a terrific portrait of an army tailor sitting at his sewing machine. The soldier is in uniform while he works on a pair of uniform pants. This photograph was taken in 1931, a period between World War I and World War II. The postcard is addressed to someone in Novi Sad, Serbia. Novi Sad is a city in Serbia on the banks of the Danube River. I am guessing that the soldier in this photograph was a member of the Serbian army. During 1931, Serbia was actually part of Yugoslavia.
