The farmer is wearing overalls and holding a tool. His horse and plow and the family dog are also in the photograph. This image is an unused real photo postcard. This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable Jack Russell Terrier sitting on a pillow atop a table. The dog looks alert and ready for action. The terrier is wearing a wide collar with an attatched dog tag. The photographer did an excellent job of posing and shooting the photograph of this expressive canine. The photographer of this image was located in Paris, France. The name of the studio is embossed on the bottom right hand corner of the card. (SOLD)
This vintage real photo postcard features a couple delivering milk transported by a dog cart. The wagon is being pulled by three large dogs. The caption printed on the card, “Laitiere Flamande”, is translated as “Flemish Milk Maid”. The woman on the cart is wearing traditional Flemish clothing. This divided back postcard dates back to around 1907 to 1915. Note the light crease in the upper right hand corner of the card. Overall, this vintage postcard is in good condition.

The dog appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier. The photo gallery was located in Putney, England. Putney is a district in southwest London. SOLD
This vintage real photo postcard features two brindle terriers. They appear to be Jack Russell terriers. They are beautifully posed. This postcard was published by Valentine & Sons as part of their Real Photo Animal Series (no.RP.18). The Valentine and Sons printing company was founded in Dundee, Scotland in 1851. The founder was James Valentine (1815-1879). The company became the leading manufacturer of picture postcards in Scotland. After James died, his two sons operated the business. The company was purchased by John Waddington Limited in 1963, In 1980, the Valentine business was bought by Hallmark Cards. In 1994, the company ceased operations. This card was printed in Great Britain. (SOLD)

This vintage postcard features a beautiful collie. The dog has a wonderful expression. It appears that the collie is smiling. The caption on the card states “Our Pet”. The postcard was published by J. N. Chamberlain. The firm was located in Miami, Florida. The printer of this card was C. T. American Art. This company was a leading postcard publisher and printer. They operated between 1898 and 1978. The company was founded by Curt Teich (1877-1974) in 1898. It was headquartered in Chicago and known as the Curt Teich Company. (SOLD)
This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable young child and two very large dogs. The child is wearing a nautical type outfit and it’s top includes a large bow. Two large dogs lie beside their young master. An inscription of the reverse of the card indicates that the child’s name is Claude and that he was two years old at the time that this photograph was taken. The inscription reveals that the photo was taken in 1922. The card has a K Ltd. stamp box. This postcard has been trimmed to fit into an album or picture frame. The card measures about 4 1/2″ x 3 1/8″, has excellent clarity, and is in excellent condition. (SOLD)
