YOUNG ADORABLE CHILD WITH A BEAUTIFUL SMILE : TWO LARGE DOGS : RPPC : (1922)

This vintage real photo postcard features an adorable young child and two very large dogs. The child is wearing a nautical type outfit and it’s top includes a large bow. Two large dogs lie beside their young master. An inscription of the reverse of the card indicates that the child’s name is Claude and that he was two years old at the time that this photograph was taken. The inscription reveals that the photo was taken in 1922. The card has a K Ltd. stamp box. This postcard has been trimmed to fit into an album or picture frame. The card measures about 4 1/2″ x 3 1/8″, has excellent clarity, and is in excellent condition. (SOLD)

ADORABLE YOUNG GIRL : PARASOL : RAIN HAT : GARISH DRESS : VINTAGE PHOTO : 1930

This vintage photo features an adorable little girl preparing to go out in the rain. She is holding an umbrella and wearing a rain hat. Her floral dress is gaudy (in my opinion). The dress clashes with her umbrella. Look carefully and you will see a purse hanging from her right arm. This young girl’s smile and expression more than compensates for any fashion faux pas. An inscription on the reverse of this image indicates that the child’s name is “Simone”. This photograph is of French origin. It measures about 3 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ and is in good condition (see scans).

THE SANFORD KIDS : JOHNSON CITY TEXAS : RPPC (1904-1918)

This vintage real photo postcard features two adorable siblings. Someone was kind enough to write their names on the reverse of the card. They inscribed the card many years ago. The AZO stamp box reveals that this postcard dates back to sometime between 1904 and 1918. The standing child is K. W. Sanford Jr. and the sitting child in Juennnette Sanford. I obtained this postcard in the Texas Hill Country (Johnson City). There is a reasonable chance that these children were from that area. This vintage portrait postcard is in very good condition (see scans).

A YOUNG GIRL POSES BY A FAUX STUDIO WATER MILL : MARY JANE SHOES : (1904-1918)

This vintage real photo postcard features a portrait of a young girl standing in front of a painted backdrop of a water mill. The artwork is very detailed. The child in this image is wearing an adorable hat, a bracelet, and Mary Jane shoes. The card has an AZO stamp box indicating it dates back to sometime between 1904 and 1918. The postcard has an almost undetectable pinhole located in the leaves above the child’s head. Overall, the postcard is in good condition (see scans). SOLD

This vintage real photo postcard features a darling photograph of a baby on a blanket in a basket. Sitting beside the child, is a beautiful collie (or border collie). Note the wooden doghouse and the dog’s water bowl. The postcard was published by the Regent Publishing company as part of the “Bromide” series. The firm was located in London, England. The postcard is color tinted. The card was printed in France. The postcard dates back to the 1900’s. SOLD

This vintage real photo postcard features a father and his adorable daughter. The father is well dressed and holding a cigar. The daughter is dressed in a manner that she looks like a little lady. Note her tiny purse. Although dad is looking quite serious, the girl is flashing a half smile and affectionately has her hand on her father’s shoulder. A PRETTY GIRL WEARING AN EMBROIDED CAP : ART DECO : PHOTO BY ALFRED NOYER

This vintage real photo postcard features a pretty girl holding a bouquet of flowers. She is wearing a lovely embroidered cap. The photographer and publisher of this portrait postcard was Alfred Noyer. He was a well known and acclaimed photographer. His Paris studio operated between 1910 and the 1940’s. This art deco postcard has excellent clarity and is in excellent condition (see scans).

YOUNG GIRL RIDES A STUDIO DONKEY WHILE SMILING MOM PROVIDES SUPPORT

This vintage real photo postcard features a young girl riding a donkey. The child does not seem particularly comfortable. Mom is standing close-by, and she offers a pretty smile for the photographer. I have labeled the beast of burden seen in this photo, a donkey, but I am aware that the animal may be a burro or mule. In addition, I am also cognizant of the fact that the donkey, or whatever it is, may be stuffed. The backdrop reveals that the photograph was taken in a photographer’s studio. I would imagine that most photographers would not be receptive about having a live donkey inside their studio. This photo postcard is of German origin and an inscription on the reverse of the card reveals that the photograph was taken in 1937. This vintage scallop edged postcard is in very good condition (see scans).
